Where is ILI?

The ILI program is located in northern Wisconsin and includes five school districts: one high school district and four elementary districts, as shown below. Acronyms for the school district names are used throughout the site, as they are used locally for convenience. We realize that people not familiar with our school districts may find the acronyms confusing, and we hope the following information is helpful.

Key to Acronyms

  • AV-W: Arbor Vitae - Woodruff Elementary School

  • LdF: Lac du Flambeau Elementary School

  • LUHS: Lakeland Union High School

  • M-H-LT: Minocqua - Hazelhurst - Lake Tomahawk Elementary School

  • NLES: North Lakeland Elementary School

Together, these four elementary school districts comprise the Lakeland Union High School (LUHS) district, covering over 800 square miles, and one of the largest school districts east of the Mississippi River.
